About Divii
Divii was created to help separating couples navigate the early stages of separation with clarity, structure, and confidence.
When a relationship ends, people are often left with unanswered questions about parenting, finances, and what comes next. Too often, the first step is to hire lawyers out of fear, before there is a clear understanding of the situation or the options available. This can be expensive, stressful, and inefficient.
Divii was designed as a better place to start.
Separation isn’t just about dividing what existed before. It’s about making thoughtful decisions about what comes next. Divii provides a structured process to help couples gather information, understand how the law generally works in British Columbia, explore realistic options, and create a clear first draft of a separation agreement.
Rather than positioning spouses as opponents, Divii supports a collaborative, informed approach. You work through decisions together, with guidance and tools that bring clarity to complex issues.
A practical way to approach separation
Built by a family lawyer, designed for real people
Divii was created by Rebecca Alleyne, a British Columbia family lawyer with over 20 years of experience helping separating couples reach practical, enforceable agreements.
Over the years, Rebecca saw many people spend significant legal fees early in the separation process on information gathering, paperwork, and basic explanations of the law before they had clarity about their situation or the decisions they needed to make. She began working to streamline that early stage into a process that was efficient, cost-effective, and focused on helping people move forward quickly and fairly.
Rebecca turned to technology to systemize that work by creating automated tools that guide people through the necessary steps, apply consistent legal logic, and produce a high-quality, error-free separation agreement that reflects their decisions. Divii brings those tools together in one place.
Divii is not a law firm and does not replace legal advice. Instead, it helps people prepare properly so that when they do speak with a lawyer, the conversation is focused, specific, and grounded in real information. This allows legal expertise to be used where it matters most, including reviewing fairness, identifying risks, and ensuring people understand the agreement they are entering into.
At its core, Divii is designed to help people work through separation with purpose and ease, so they can move through a difficult transition efficiently and begin their next chapter with clarity and confidence.

Using technology to support better legal outcomes
Divii helps with the work that does not require legal judgment: organizing information, explaining legal concepts in plain language, running calculations, reviewing scenarios, and drafting a lawyer-ready agreement.
This allows legal advice to be used where it matters most - in assessing fairness, identifying risks, and ensuring people understand the agreement they are entering into before they sign.
The goal is not to avoid lawyers. It is to use them well.

A trusted approach to practical decision-making
Divii is an approved participant in the Law Society of British Columbia’s Innovation Sandbox, a program that allows new legal tools to be offered under regulatory oversight. This framework supports innovation while maintaining public protection and transparency. Within that framework, Divii provides structured legal information and automated agreement drafting, while encouraging the appropriate use of independent legal advice as part of a responsible separation process.
At its core, Divii exists to make separation more manageable. It gives couples a clear path forward, practical tools to do the work that can be done together, and the confidence to seek legal advice at the right time, with the right information in hand.
