Home › Agreement Drafting
Your separation resolves into decisions: where the children live, what support gets paid, who keeps what. In Divii you make them by answering the Builder's questions and working through the tools, and each decision becomes a clause as you make it, drafted to professional standards into a complete, detailed agreement, with Schedules attached where they serve it. When the last decision lands, you review the whole BC Separation Agreement together, refine it, and export it to Word or PDF for review and signing.
Delivers: a complete BC Separation Agreement, drafted to professional standards.
How the drafting works
Every clause traces back to a decision the two of you made, whether it came through the Builder's questions or one of the tools.
The Builder walks you through the questions every agreement needs answered. The tools handle the parenting schedules, support, property, and the pension. Any order, your own pace, one shared file.
As each decision lands, Divii drafts the matching clauses to professional standards, into a complete and detailed agreement. Where a Schedule serves better, like the parenting rotation, it attaches, and the agreement states the outcome.
Read every clause in the preview as the agreement takes shape, together or separately. What you see is the document you will sign, in plain sight the whole way.
Word and PDF export, with the waiver of independent legal advice included in the document. Properly signed and witnessed, it binds, and it is even stronger when reviewed by a lawyer first.
Why it drafts itself
Divii takes your inputs and your decisions and automates the drafting. The information you enter in the Builder and the tools flows straight into the document, and the legal logic selects the clauses your situation calls for.
Names, dates, children, incomes, property. You enter the information once and it flows through every tool and into the agreement, so the document is always working from the same facts you are.
Married? The agreement incorporates the proper divorce clauses. Shared parenting arrangement? The correct Canada Child Benefit and dependant tax credit clauses are included.
The legal logic reads your situation and drafts for it.
You are not cobbling together clauses from other people's agreements and templates found online. The agreement is drafted properly and includes the right clauses for your particular situation.
The drafting register
The document itself is where the detail sits: a complete, detailed agreement built from more than 20 years of family law drafting experience. Every outcome the two of you decided is articulated in the agreement, and for some parts, like the parenting rotation and the property distribution, the working plans are delivered in Schedules attached to it.
Two examples of the drafting register: a parenting clause that incorporates the attached Parenting Time Schedule, and a property clause that ties who keeps what back to the Property Schedule.
What you export is the complete document: the recitals, the full set of terms your decisions produced, the attached Schedules, and the waiver of independent legal advice.
1. Unless otherwise agreed, the parties will have parenting time with the Children in a shared parenting arrangement, according to the Parenting Time Schedule attached to this Agreement.
2. Jane will retain the RBC Joint Investment Account [2355], the value of which is accounted for in the Property Schedule attached to this Agreement and factored into the overall distribution of property between the parties.
Numbers first, advice where it counts
Divii does the decisions, the math, and the drafting. Professionals are there to review and provide advice and guidance. You can add them at any point throughout the process.

A guidance session and file review, or facilitated mediation for the terms the two of you cannot settle alone. Get in touch and we will point you to the right path.
Whether the deal you struck is fair for your situation is exactly what independent legal advice is for, and a finished draft is what makes that advice efficient. A reviewing lawyer may also add clauses specific to your situation. That is a normal part of the process rather than a sign something was missing.
