Build your parenting schedule, week by week.Rotations, holidays, transitions, and pickups, decided together and attached to your agreement.

A parenting schedule is the backbone of separated family life: where the children are, when they move between homes, and who does the pickup. Divii's parenting tools let you build the rotation hour by hour, decide every holiday and special day once, see the parenting time share as you go, and attach the finished schedules to your BC Separation Agreement.

Writes: your parenting time schedule, transitions, and pickup arrangements.

How the tool works

Four decisions, one schedule.

The tool walks you through the decisions in order, and the schedule takes shape as you answer.

1

Choose a rotation

Week on, week off. 2-2-3. 2-2-5-5. Every other weekend with a mid-week visit. Or build a fully custom pattern around real work lives: a police officer's seven-week shift rotation is a schedule, not a problem.

2

Set the transitions

Which day the children move between homes, and at what time. School-day transitions, evening handoffs, whatever reduces friction.

3

Settle the logistics

Who picks up, who drops off, and where. The small practical questions that cause the biggest day-to-day arguments get decided once.

4

See the share

The parenting time split calculates live as you build, so you both see exactly what any pattern means before you commit to it.

Holidays and special days

Decide every holiday once.

Family Day, spring break, birthdays, Christmas morning. The holiday scheduler walks you through each one: alternate it yearly, fix it with one parent, or split the day. Holiday arrangements suspend the regular rotation, so the everyday schedule and the special days never collide.

Writes: the full holiday and special days schedule, clause by clause.

Where it goes

Your schedules attach to the agreement. The clauses bind them.

This is how well-drafted agreements handle parenting time: the detail lives in schedules attached to the agreement, and short, clear clauses give them legal effect. The Parenting Time Schedule and Holiday Schedule you build in Divii become those attachments, with all the rotation, transition, and pickup detail exactly where it belongs.

It means the agreement stays readable while the schedules stay rich, and when you adjust a schedule before signing, the attachment reflects it without anyone redrafting clauses.

Your Separation Agreement · parenting time

1. Unless otherwise agreed, the parties will have parenting time with the Children in a shared parenting arrangement, according to the Parenting Time Schedule attached to this Agreement.

2. Unless otherwise agreed, the parties may suspend the Parenting Time Schedule for holidays, special days, and school breaks as outlined in the Holiday Schedule attached to this Agreement.

Parenting schedule questions, answered

What are the most common parenting schedules? +
For shared parenting time, the common rotations are week on, week off; 2-2-3, where the children alternate two days, two days, then a three-day weekend; and 2-2-5-5, which gives each parent fixed weekdays and alternating weekends. Families with a primary residence often use every-other-weekend patterns with a mid-week visit. Divii lets you build any of these, or a custom rotation of your own.
Does our schedule have to be 50/50? +
No. The schedule should fit your children, your work lives, and the practicalities of your two homes. Divii shows you the parenting time share as you build, so whatever arrangement you choose, you both see exactly what it means.
What about holidays and special days? +
Holidays get their own tool: the holiday scheduler walks you through each holiday, long weekend, and special day once. The result is a Holiday Schedule attached to your agreement, and the clauses provide that it suspends the regular rotation for those days.
How does the schedule show up in our agreement? +
Your rotation, transitions, and pickup arrangements become the Parenting Time Schedule attached to your Separation Agreement, and the agreement's parenting clauses bind it. The detail lives in the attachment, so the agreement stays clear and nothing is retyped.
What if we can't agree on the schedule? +
Build the options anyway. Seeing two or three rotations side by side, with the real parenting time share of each, turns an argument about fairness into a comparison of concrete plans. If you stay stuck, facilitated mediation with a qualified, rostered family mediator is available. Get in touch and we will point you to the right path.
Who should not use Divii on its own? +
Using Divii on its own may not be appropriate if there is domestic violence, coercive control, or a significant power imbalance that makes collaborative decision-making unsafe. In those situations, additional legal or community supports are often more appropriate, and Divii can be used alongside your own legal support.
